Update T12R08P001 - Version 12.8 Patch 1 - Email Statements; Logo on Statements and Invoices; Dispatch Quotes warning; Apply Patches; bug fixes, etc. [Posted on 3/6/2008]

You can verify if you have the patch on the Edit | Updates For TripTracker screen. All applied patches are listed on the right side of the screen.
Note that the system checks every few days for new patches, and applies them automatically.
If you do not have this patch, you can manually download it by clicking here. The next time you start TripTracker, it will automatically apply.

 Update Key   Added Feature - Description 
 1  New options to control the layout of Statement & Invoice reports, including putting your Logo at the top of each. 
  • Go to the Data Entry | Report Types screen to control the layout for each report, or for all the Statements & Invoices at once. 
  • You can setup:
    • Whether a logo file should be printed.
    • Which logo file should be printed.
    • Where should logo be printed - at the left, center, or right?
    • Where should the Company Name & Address be printed - at the left, center, or right?
    • If the report prints on letterhead. If not, don't include blank space at top of page.
    • If the full header should be printed at the top of page 2+, or just a brief heading?
     
 2  New option to automatically email Statements, Invoices, and Agent Commissions reports. 
  • For Statements and Invoices, split the report by Customer ID. 
  • For Agent Commissions, split the report by Agent ID. 
  • To use this feature:
    • Click the 'Split Reports For Email' option.
    • Click the 'Print Report' or 'Print Preview' button.
    • A list of all master keys will be shown that can be selected to print. The list will show the number of trips, total charge, etc.
    • Choose which ones to include in the emails, and click OK.
    • For each master key, a list of all matching Email Addresses will be shown.
    • Choose the Addresses which are to receive the report.
    • An email will then be created with the report for just that master key.
    • Note that this requires the PrimoPDF printer to be installed.
     
 3  New flag to show Quotes automatically on Dispatch. 
  • Set on the Edit | Options screen's General tab's Dispatch options - titled 'Warn if Quotes exist for Date?'.
    • Note that this will cause the Dispatch screen to do extra processing which could slow it down.
    • Also, Quotes are only checked when the Date is changed.
     
 4  New logic to apply a 'patch' or quick fix. 
  • This will be used to fix bugs in the future, without needing to send out a new Version.
    • Every 3 days, it will check to see if there are any new patches on the internet.
    • If so, it will apply them automatically.
     

 Update Key   Bug Fix - Description 
 1  Changed Title Screen to delete any ReportTime* tables from the TripPriv folder. 
  • If the Dispatch screen says the ReportTime* tables are corrupt, just close then reopen TripTracker. 
 2  Use different ReportTime tables for Dispatch & Print Trip Tickets. 
 3  When opening a trip, error 'This trip has been cancelled' was incorrectly shown if the first trip on file was cancelled. 
 4  When printing a Trip Ticket, if the table is in use, empty it anyway so the trip doesn't show up twice. 
 5  Email Confirmations had extra indentation on Pickup/Dropoff address if it is not a common location or airport.  
 6  Edit Charges' Taxes & Fees screen wasn't updating correctly. Also, a flat rate Tax or Fee would not show on the Email Confirmation. 
 7  Dispatch screen: if you have a wide screen, it is expanding to the right but it wasn't moving the '<>' button also. 
 8  Dispatch screen: wasn't filling in the Original Size for ' Default' template. 
 9  Verify screen: new tables didn't have Rebuild Index logic. Also, added warnings if all tables' indexes are being rebuilt. 
 10  Slider Bar popup didn't always update the bar, just the count. 
 11  Changed Title Screen to make sure it doesn't get in loop if DesktopControl table loses its index. If so, it will rebuild the index. 
 12  On Reprint An Invoice, if no records found, it would show 'Unassigned Variable' instead of error message 'Could not find record'. 
 13  Driver List doesn't size correctly when window expands down. Loses last 2 or so rows. It was calculating screen height before resetting row height. Also, fixed Cell Phone numbers and Airports not showing correctly. 
 14  When looking up a Trip, if you enter the Cancel ID, it should ignore the 'Check Cancelled Trips' flag since you want cancelled ones. 
 15  Dispatch Schedule report by Driver wasn't showing From/To information. 
 16  Sales by Passenger report was showing errors. 
 17  Other Charges list should open by Sequence Number, not alphabetically. 
 18  On startup, make sure Company table has a primary index. This will fix the 'Can not open Company table' error.
