Setup a New Workstation
Step 1	Install Runtime Click Here to Download and Install Runtime.      - Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions.      - When the install is complete, you will have to reboot.      - After restarting, return to this webpage and continue with Step 2.
Step 2	Select Your Configuration Program & data reside in C:\TripWin Do not use if this is the server    Program & data reside in T:\ Example: T:\ mapped as '\\Server\TripWin'    Program & data reside in T:\TripWin Example: T:\ mapped as '\\Server\C')
Step 3	Install Icons - Choose your configuration above. Install Icons - Single User   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions. Install Icons - Using T:\   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions. Install Icons - Using T:\TripWin   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions.
Step 4	Download BDE - Choose your configuration above. Download BDE - Single User   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions. A 'Notepad' window will display when complete. Download BDE - Using T:\   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions. A 'Notepad' window will display when complete. Download BDE - Using T:\TripWin   Click 'Run' or 'Open' to install, and follow the instructions. A 'Notepad' window will display when complete.

Networking notes:

• The error 'Could not initialize BDE - Working Directory is invalid or undefined' means that you have a network problem.
  Please have your network administrator determine why the T:\ drive won't open.
• There must be only one TripWin folder on your network, since this is where your data resides.
  If you have more than one, figure out which is the real one and rename the rest to avoid confusion in the future.
• All workstations must be mapped to the server in exactly the same way.
  If the server is to be used as a workstation, it must also be mapped exactly as the others.
• The server must have Network Sharing enabled on either the TripWin folder or the folder that contains the TripWin folder (typically the C:\ drive itself).
  All users must have 'Full Control' to this folder.
• If you are using Windows Terminal Server, each user must have their own unique Private Directory defined.
  Map a separate P:\ drive for each user, which maps to C:\Private\%username% for example.
  Then, change the TripTracker icon's Properties to include this on the 'Target' line: '-p P:\' in place of '-p C:\TripPriv'.

Required to be run once for every Windows Vista, XP, NT, 2000, and 2003 system:

10)  Disable Oplocks Program

11)  Turn off 'Write Behind Cache' - Go to Control Panel, then choose System, then click the Hardware tab, and open the Device Manager. Expand the 'Disk Drives' by clicking the '+' sign. For each drive, right-click it and choose Properties, then click the Policies tab and make sure 'Enable Write Caching' is NOT checked.
